Irish Universities Sailing Association Competition

This weekend Bantry Bay Sailing Club will be playing host to a National sailing event in which Universities from all over the country compete in a series of sailing races. These races will take place on the bay between 9am and 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday. There is expected to be up 150 competitors, which will make for some action-packed spectating on the bay!

A food truck will be located at Bantry Bay Sailing club, where hot meals such as chilli con carne, sandwiches, hot drinks, snack bars and more can be purchased.

The event will be centred around the sailing club so please be aware that there will be extra traffic congestion as well as crossing of boats on the road outside the sailing club. So please take care when driving through this area throughout the weekend.

These competitors and many other organisers and supporters will be around the Bantry area for the weekend, providing a great boost for the town. We are delighted to host such an event and are looking forward to it immensely.
